Her Story

Krishnarani Swain is the founder of Shukriya — a woman entrepreneur from Odisha who believes that planning a wedding should feel like a celebration from the very first step, not a burden on the family.

In our culture, a wedding is never just one day. It is months of phone calls, visits to mandaps, comparing DJ and decoration rates, finding a trusted makeup artist and arranging barati vehicles — and most of this falls on the family's shoulders. Krishnarani saw this struggle closely, and she saw something else too: so many talented local vendors who were not getting the visibility and respect they deserved.

So she decided to build a bridge — a single place where families find trusted wedding vendors with clear details, fair prices and easy booking, and where vendors get real customers and real growth. And she did not walk this path alone. She started this journey together with her sister, Rajeswari Swain.

Why Shukriya? — The Thought Behind the Name

When Krishnarani thought about starting this platform, one question stayed in her mind: "What do people feel when a wedding goes perfectly?" The answer was simple — gratitude. Parents thanking the vendor who delivered on time. A bride thanking the makeup artist who made her feel beautiful. A family thanking everyone who stood by them.

That is why she chose "Shukriya". It is a promise as much as a name — that every booking on our platform should end with a smile and a heartfelt thank you, from the couple, from the family and from the vendor too.
